The film resembles its viral subject a little too closely: an intricate, formidable mechanism with no evident purpose.. I wouldn't dream of giving away the ending, but it's not likely to satisfy either the action crowd or Matheson fans.. Contagion is compelling.. If Contagion is a "horror movie," as Soderbergh has described it, then you can think of it as the most believable zombie movie ever made.. Decent, but not completely viral..
